It's my birthday! So here's a few things about little ol' me you may like to know!
I'm a true Sagittarius I don't care how much or how little you believe in astrology, if you were to look at all the typical Sagittarius traits, I fit them nearly all perfectly. I'm an impulsive travel-hungry loudmouth (plus I'm honest to a fault). I once read that Sagittarians are really messy eaters and I've decided to use that as an excuse ever since. Ain't my fault, baby, it's written in the stars!
Je m'appelle Willow French is my first language! Isn't that NEAT? That said, I'm a lot more comfortable speaking and writing in English now. I've been living in an anglophone city for the past 15 years, so I don't have much opportunity to speak French anymore other than when I go home, which isn't particularly often. I don't have much of an accent so most people don't realize it, but yeah! I'm French and didn't learn to speak English until I was about 5 or 6! Bonus Fact: I'd really love to learn Spanish one day.
HBK All Day My first crush ever was Shawn Michaels. I literally wrote a story when I was like, 5 years old, about how Shawn Michaels and I were going to get married on Mars. HBK still has a special place in my heart as my favourite wrestler, but uh, the crush has faded over time.
Rebel Girl You Are the Queen of My World I've been playing guitar since I was about 9 years old and bass since I was about 11. I actually learned bass because there were no girls at my school who played and I wanted to be the first one. I ended up playing bass for the school band (ditching the trumpet after only a few weeks) and I did the singer-songwriter thing for a few years in my late teens/early 20s. I still play here and there, but I definitely just stick to simple chords and patterns. I was never much about learning how to shred, just wanting to have something I can play along to while I sing.
Hit The Road Remember that whole Sagittarius thing about being impulsive and loving to travel? Well, I once booked a 4-day solo trip to Belgium for my 25th birthday 2 weeks before leaving. Or how about the time I decided to go drink in LA at 26 solely to be like the Bran Van 3000 song? Probably my best fairly impulsive trip? A month-long road trip across the USA and Canada with 4 friends, all planned about 3 weeks before we left. I still think about that road trip all the time. I'm so sad road trips can't really be a thing right now because of the pandemic, but damn, I can't wait to head out on the road again. I feel my happiest on a road trip - whether it be solo or with pals. I just love driving and being on an adventure.
